Welcome to the 'Sew What?' section of EVEN STEVEN. Below are a series of short articles, some explain important issues within the garment industry whilst others explore more trivial, but equally interesting, areas of fashion such as the evolution of the zip!

The purpose of this section is to provoke thought, not offer answers. Too often, interesting and poignant facets of fashion and fashion history are hidden by the supply chain. 'Sew What?' aims to ask important questions, the solution to which are for you to decide.
